Project Healthy Hound

On 6th day of World Rotaract Week, Rotaract Club of Patalganga organised a community project in collaboration with local right for animals club in Rasayani region of district Raigad.
The Project Healthy Hound is a project powered by a vision shared commonly by both the clubs, a healthy environment for the *strays* by conducting Stray Dog anti rabies vaccination drive, tying reflective radium bands (Collars) & Animal Bowls installation.

The localities covered for this project were Mohopada, Chambharli, Ris, Dandphata, Lodhivali with successful vaccination and collaring of more than 35 dogs.

Organizing a dog vaccination drive is an important step in promoting the health and well-being of dogs. It helps prevent the spread of infectious diseases that can be harmful not only to dogs, but also to humans who come into contact with them. Providing reflective collars to dogs can also help increase their visibility and prevent accidents, especially during low-light conditions. Finally, installing animal bowls can ensure that stray animals have access to clean water, which is essential for their health.

Dr. Ramesh Chopde also volunteered for this community project so that he can provide professional guidance and ensure that the vaccinations are administered properly. It’s also important to ensure that the dogs are handled with care and compassion throughout the vaccination drive.

Overall, it was a great initiative and we hope it inspires others to take similar actions in their own communities.

Regards,
