Rotary and Rotaract bring TEDNext 2025 to Golden Bridge

Rotary Club of Bharuch, in association with Rotaract District 3060 and Rotaract Club of Bharuch, hosted TEDNext 2025 presented by TEDxGoldenBridgeLive at C. M. Academy, Ankleshwar, on 30 November 2025, offering students a unique opportunity to engage with globally curated ideas under an official TEDxLive license.
Aligned with the international TED theme “What NEXT?” the programme witnessed the participation of nearly 200 students and educators, creating an enriching environment that encouraged reflection, curiosity, and dialogue beyond conventional classroom learning.
The event featured a thoughtfully curated selection of TED talks and animated explainers spanning humanity, science, culture, perception, and innovation. The screening included Shah Rukh Khan’s talk on humanity, fame, and love, which resonated deeply with students through its emphasis on empathy and human connection. Insights into happiness and well-being were shared through a talk by Sonja Lyubomirsky, while scientific curiosity was ignited through Harini Bhat’s exploration of new frontiers in science. Engaging animated videos on perception and on how ancient civilizations made ice cream added a creative and accessible dimension to complex ideas, keeping students actively involved throughout the programme.
The session encouraged students to think critically, ask questions, and relate global ideas to their own lives. Informal discussions following the screenings helped participants reflect on the relevance of these ideas in shaping their future choices and perspectives.
Expressing his thoughts on the initiative, Principal Mr. Ramjee Nagarajan appreciated the collaboration and said,
“Events like TEDNext expose our students to global thinking and inspire them to look beyond textbooks. Such platforms help nurture curiosity, creativity, and the confidence to think independently.”

Vice-Principal Mr. Srinivas Nikhade also encouraged students to continue engaging with ideas that broaden their worldview and strengthen their analytical abilities.
The programme was led by Harsh Vipul Thakkar, Licensee and Organizer of TEDxGoldenBridge, a TED Member, TED Attendee, TED Translator, and a Rotaractor from Rotaract Club of Bharuch. An alumnus of C. M. Academy, he currently serves as District Avenues Chair, Rotaract District 3060, and will take charge as District Secretary Executive in the upcoming Rotary year. Members of Rotaract Club of Bharuch, including Zeel Bhatt, Het Parikh, Harmandeep Singh Bunet, Dhruv Chadderwala, and Janvi Bhojwani, were also present, reinforcing Rotary and Rotaract’s active involvement in youth education and intellectual development.
TEDNext 2025 successfully demonstrated how Rotary-supported initiatives can connect young minds with world-class ideas, encouraging critical thinking, empathy, and lifelong learning. The program strengthened the partnership between Rotary, Rotaract, and educational institutions while reaffirming Rotary’s commitment to building informed, thoughtful, and future-ready citizens.
